
Eileen Dema Farr Mueller, born January 8th, 1944, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2025, at home, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted wife, mother, and community leader, Eileen’s kindness, strength, and commanding presence touched countless lives. Born in Michigan, she was the eldest of six children to Gordon and Glema Farr. She was the first in her family to earn a degree at Auburn University.
Eileen was the beloved wife of Paul Ferdinand Mueller, who preceded her in death in 1997. They married on December 21st, 1965, and together they raised two sons, Paul Philip (born 1969) and Karl Robert (born 1974), and was preceded in death by their daughter Lynn in 1971. Eileen built a legacy of acceptance and generosity. She was a cherished grandmother to six and great aunt to many.
Known for offering first jobs and safe havens to many young people throughout her life, Eileen earned widespread admiration from those who knew and loved her. She worked as a Medical Technologist for 38 years, a career she loved. After the passing of her husband Paul, Eileen dedicated herself to maintain their legacy, Pirates Cove along with her two sons. In 1997 she co-founded the Perdido Wood Boat Association and orchestrated The Wood Boat shows at Pirates Cove until 2021, an endeavor she cherished deeply. She was also founding member of the Elberta Public Library in 2016 and served on the Cindy Haber Center Board of Directors, advocating for individuals with disabilities for 14 years.
Eileen is survived by her sons, Paul Phillip (Malinda Joni) Mueller and Karl Robert (Rachael Elmyra) Mueller, her nieces Katherine Briggs Hodges (Parker) and Joan Marie Briggs her six grandchildren, Paul Lucas, Madeline Rose, Walter Joe Teach, Tabitha Gray, (Paul’s children) Jackson Karl, Lucia Eileen (Karl’s children), her great niece and nephew, Greta Katherine and Brennan Scott Briggs Kyburz (Joan Briggs’ children), her siblings Beth McNeil, Diane Lay, and Gary Farr. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lynn Mueller, her parents, Gordon and Glema Farr, her husband, Paul Ferdinand Mueller, her sister, Jean Farr, and her brother Roger Farr.
